Budget, stone size, symbol: why the lab-grown diamond engagement ring is winning — and how to choose it well.

An engagement ring remains what it has always been: a promise worn on the finger. What has changed is the stone set in it. All over the world, the lab-grown diamond is becoming couples' first choice — not by default, but as the obvious answer.
For the same budget, a lab-grown diamond offers a markedly larger stone — often two to three times the carats — or exceptional colour and clarity grades. The one-carat, white, blazing solitaire stops being reserved for the few. And it is a real diamond, IGI- or GIA-certified, inscribed, verifiable: nothing less than natural, except the price.
Choosing lab-grown is also a message: a stone with a limpid origin, no mining, chosen with lucidity rather than bought under the weight of a century of advertising. Many couples see in it a fairer symbol of what they are building — and a budget preserved for what matters: the trip, the flat, what comes next.
Absolute priority to the cut (Excellent or Very Good): it is what makes the light. Colour D to G, clarity VS and above: the eye will not see the difference, the budget will. Stay just below carat marks (0.90 rather than 1.00) for a gain invisible to the eye. And choose the mount for the hand that will wear it: that is what you look at every day.
Our rings are set with lab-grown diamonds on solid 14-karat gold — white, yellow, rose or black. And for a unique piece or a specific centre stone, the house works with you bespoke: tell us about your project.
It is today a majority choice in several major markets and fully owned: the stone is identical, so is the gesture.
Should you tell the person receiving it?Transparency is part of the choice — and often an argument: same stone, considered choice, intelligent budget.
